Oh my gosh, amazing. Gia, all the photos are wonderful but I especially love the one of the dress hanging from the bed.

love the natural details.

Like Abby said, im not into ballgowns, but this dress is insanely gorgeous!

wow, that dress is just to die for!

Holding my breath for more.. hurry, it’s too beautiful!!

Does anyone know the name of the gown? I’ve seen it before and fall in love every time!!!

That is the most beautiful dress I think I have ever seen!

wow, gorgeous photos!! I love the top left with her in her dress, and her holding her flowers. And the boutonnieres are so unique, love it! Such clean timeless images, love it!

That dress is to die for! So so beautiful! Love the flowers also.

WOW! Can’t not wait to see more from this wedding! Absolutely STUNNING.

That dress. Is. INSANE.

I totally agree! Ballgown on the beach.. uber luxe! This way you can have your cake and eat it too… gorgeous gown with classic beach ceremony. ;-)

I agree with Kelly…I think this dress is one of the most beautiful dresses!

I would love to know where the suits came from!

I would also love know where they got their gift bags! so amazing

Yowza, this is a stunner!!

LOOOOOVE the dress!!

Wow, this wedding is amazing. I love the colors and the flowers! Would you be able to tell me where the bridesmaid dresses are from?

Heidi – the bridesmaids’ dresses look like the silk chiffon Taryn dresses from J Crew. (In dusty shale, perhaps?)

Oh and I love the mini sandwiches and the food containers, so cute (and yummy looking)!

And I have a pretty specific question, and if anyone has any ideas, they would must certainly be appreciated – where can I find ties like the one the groom is wearing? I’m having the hardest time finding pretty ties in that color!

So pretty! Love the flowers and color combinations!

Hello, gorgeous wedding! I absolutely love the colors!

The Flower Girl, or Richelle as we know her, is a super fabulous florist in Dana Point. We love her beautiful floral designs!  She can create a bright and fun wedding or create a classic design to fit any wedding. Her flowers are of the highest quality and always hold up throughout the day. (We have personally worked with her, so this is first hand information.) We are always excited to work with Richelle to see what she’s come up with! Be sure to check out her website at www.myflowergirl.com. She was also named The Best of the Knot with the highest score of 92.6 in 2007! Nice work Flower Girl!

Imagine a table filled with different jars of candy from Mr. Goodbars to an array of assorted brightly colored candy treats.  Who doesn’t love candy? There are several different directions you take that theme. You could do a whole Willy Wonka wedding or just add some small surgary touches here and there. Like some fortune cookies with a custom message or individually wrapped wedding favors from Jelly Belly.  We of course love the idea of custom napkins with any wedding. Flowers from Christa W. Ressel and Invites from Joceybella Invites new Joceybella Basics collection, which is coming soon.

Before we spoil you with some super cute stuff, we are dying to share our Canadian adventure with you. To say the least we had a horribly wonderful time. GM of Canada was so generous to fly us over the border to take some of their vehicles for a test spin, spoil us rotten and allow us to experience how fabulous BC is. Our whole trip was a dream and still hilariously funny… well at least to us.

After we had a fabulous night, enjoying the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and? dining on delicious food, we had to drive back to the airport. Luckily we were able to drive back in style in the new 2010 Cadillac SRX. It features a dramatic design, inside and out.? Super fancy with blue tooth, xm radio and all the vehicles are equipped with On Star. To our chagrin, we encountered a little more ‘User Error’… if you will. The SRX handles like a dream, we were loving this SUV. Side note, I LOVE me some XM radio! We want to send a super special THANK YOU to Adria from GM, and Lisa and Gary our hosts and coordinators of this amazing trip .. scratch that .. vacation. This was definitely a mini-vacation of a lifetime. I also have to mention that every single soul we encountered was beyond cordial and made our stay in Canada an absolute pleasure.?

We awoke in the morning and had a briefing on the Buick LaCrosse. It was quite the luxury sedan complete with OnStar navigation, heated seats and a voice command. The seats were super comfy and wind shield wipers worked quite well. There was a bit of storm going on while were there. This car handled exceptionally well in the rain, snow, and on the icy roads. Amy did the driving since she is from Alaska and does well driving in these conditions. Sort of …

Then we were off to Harrison Hot Springs Resort For Spa, which from where we were, was supposed to be only an hour away but ended up taking us 4 hours. Not a big surprise. Did I mention that we are slightly directionally challenged? We got in a little fight with the On Star Navigation. Definitely USER ERROR on our part. Besides driving around in circles, and crossing the Vancouver Bridge three times, we have to throw a shout out to the Buick LaCrosse for keeping us warm, safe, and comfy. The rain was coming down in full effect and the LaCrosse was as smooth as silk.

We arrived in Canada, and to our surprise we where whisked away in a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Sadly, they are not for sale quite yet and are being tested by everyday normal families. Fuel cells use zero gasoline and produce zero emissions other than water vapor. They’re a sustainable technology for a better environment. They will ultimately reduce our dependence on petroleum. How wonderful is that? The car was as quiet as a mouse and currently being used by GM for VIP’s at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.

Happy hump day chickadees!

Before we share our adventure with you, please remember Amy and I have never been to Canada and aren’t the best with directions. We are always getting lost, no matter where we are. Oops.

You would think since we both sit at computers most of the day we would be able to figure out a simple navigation system. Yes, you would think that. Needless to say, we finally ended up at the resort and had a wonderful time. It is quite breath taking, surrounded by mountains and situated on the southern shore of spectacular Harrison Lake. The hot springs were amazing! They warmed us to the bone and it even snowed while we were hanging out in our bikinis.

We started the day by visiting Granville Island.? It it’s a tiny little island in the middle of the city filled with art, culture and an amazing marketplace. A living, breathing urban oasis filled with fine waterfront restaurants, theaters, galleries, studios, unique shops, cafes and the most spectacular fresh food market you’ve ever seen. We had the best time there. The inside market was filled with fresh food and goodies. We splurged on Chocolate Croissants and had the yummiest organic lentil soup ever. We sat on the bay, enjoyed our soup and enjoyed the scenery.

After we had our sugary fill of treats, we then went on to meet our hosts along with the rest of the bloggers who were invited on the trip for a divine dinner at Cin Cin. OMG, the food was incredible and the company even more wonderful. If you were wondering Amy had the Nova Scotia Lobster Risotto and I had the queen Charlotte Sablefish. Both wonderful.

Day 2:

Day 1: We arrived at the Sutton Place situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver. A boutique hotel with majestic views of the mountains and the ocean but, more importantly? within walking distance of Robson Street. One of Canada’s most popular shopping areas.

Amy and I dropped our bags and immediately went out and about to check out the shops. We were super impressed with all that they had to offer. We picked up some goodies from Lululemon, had the tastiest cupcakes at Cupckaes, which were delicious $3 bites of heaven. Highly recommend trying one of these if you are ever around that area.

Everything from the veil to the linens is just gorgeous! I thought “wow” when I saw the pictures. Amazing pictures of a beautiful wedding, congrats!! *I really love the bridesmaids dresses and the proposal!

What a gorgeous wedding – from the color palette to the rustic romantic setting – I love everything!

Speak soon,

Judy Bourgeois did an fantastic job of the flowers. They match the character of the barn and the couple. Lovely combination.

Amazing dress, can I ask where you bought it?

This is so lovely, accesible and still dreamy. Maine Seasons is one of the best -I love all of their work.

What a beautiful veil, and I loved the proposal story! So so sweet.

Let us know what you think of this new trend!

Who does not love Anthropologie? I have not meet anyone that does not find some appeal to the shabby chic store. Lately we have been hearing that quite a few brides have been selecting the vintage inspired wonderland as a place to buy their bridesmaid dresses and accessories. I say job well done.

Bridesmaid would wear the dresses again, hands down and they have a wide variety of frocks that would go with a shabby chic, vintage or? garden party wedding. A few that would even be perfect for a traditional wedding. I picked out a few things that I would not mind wearing. Ok I would love to wear any of these!

definitely gorgeous! I love the portraits, the ping pong + score board – and I have to say I’ve never seen hor d’oeuvers served like that and it’s brilliant!

oh..so beautiful!
the ping pong table is such a great idea!
good job!

Jesi Haack Weddings is a preferred vendor and proud sponsor of The Wedding Chicks!

From Jesi Haack Weddings on styling the shoot:

Spring has arrived and love is in the air and we have something super special to show you!

Here is the story From Jesi Haack Weddings & Aaron Shintaku Photgraphy

Photography: Aaron Shintaku Photgraphy

A few weeks back Aaron Shintaku shot an ‘”IN LOVE SESSION” for Michelle and Josh. Do you couples out there know that you don’t have to be married or engaged to be IN LOVE ?and have awesome pictures take? Josh is an insane artist and photographer himself and wanted to have an In Love Session for himself and his lovely lady. See the session here.

We set up a paisley print blanket, purchased some matching baskets to put the food, plates and even a floral arrangement in.? We also created a false note, and used the napkins to pop the big question!
This was definitely one of my favorite projects so far.? Getting to be there (trying to blend in to the background and give them privacy) during their engagement was such a sweet experience!!!

So Josh’s idea was to tell Michelle that a huge blog was interested in doing a series based on that shoot.? So “they” asked Jesi Haack Weddings to style it and Aaron Shintaku to shoot a picnic style, romantic shoot.? Poor girl.? Thought she was gonna be famous, instead she just got…ENGAGED!!! Woo hooo!
